Geocase signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Sokhumi State University

On June 3, 2021, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Rector of Sokhumi State University, Zurab Khonelidze and Victor Kipiani, the Chair of Geocase.


"By signing this memorandum, we pledge to stand beside you in doing such extremely important, national work which you and your university serve," Victor Kipiani said.


In the framework of the Memorandum the parties aim to plan and implement educational projects,  training courses, joint events in the field of common interests. Cooperation and joint implementation of relevant projects and programs would promote equal access to educational opportunities for young people living in the occupied territories of Georgia and with IDPs status. The Memorandum also envisages joint participation in international projects.


The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Khatuna Burkadze, Director of American and Euro-Atlantic Studies at Geocase, and academic staff of Sokhumi State University. At the meeting the parties discussed the prospects of future cooperation.
